Meg Whitman went to online startup Yelp on Wednesday and held a question-and-answer session with employees. Media reports say Whitman got peppered with tough questions by a number of the employees.
"Young staffers at the online review site Yelp on Wednesday bombarded the former eBay chief executive with questions about her negative ads, her record-breaking spending and her stance against gay marriage."
Below is a tweet from an AP reporter at the event:
It looks like this forum in front of a "tough, liberal crowd" allowed Whitman to showcase her strengths as a sturdy chief executive.
Update: Joe Garofoli interviewed one employee - 24 year old Susan McKay - who didn't like Whitman's answer to a question about negative ads. The employee admits to being a Democrat, so her reaction is understandable.
