Dems to hold fundraiser in the apartment Jerry Brown lived in when he was governor 30 years ago

Apparently some Dems are longing for Moonbeam's glory days:

Former Gov. Jerry Brown is taking a trip down memory lane this week.

His backers are throwing a fundraiser at 1400 N Street across from Capitol Park in the apartment where Brown, then a bachelor, lived while he served as governor from 1975 to 1983. Brown, who is running for governor this year, preferred to live in the apartment rather than in the newly built governor’s mansion in suburban Sacramento.

There will be a blue Plymouth parked out front — the same one he rode in as governor – and there will be background music from recordings of singer Linda Ronstadt, an old girl friend, who often visited Brown there..

Nostalgia doesn’t come cheap, however: People attending the Wednesday reception will be paying $2,500, and the dinner tab is $10,000 each.
