Jerry Brown and his campaign have a history of using degrading slurs

The use of the "whore" slur against Meg Whitman by the Jerry Brown camp isn't the first time this year Brown or his team have been caught using ugly slurs against his opponents.

Here is a brief list from just this year:

• compared Meg Whitman's advertising campaign to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels
• on Hardball, used the vulgar "teabagger" sexual slur against Tea Party supporters
• outside a Whitman event in Fresno, Dem spokesman Bob Mulholland called Bobby Jindal an "anchor baby"

It took me about one minute to came up with this list... will add to the list if I learn about other degrading remarks by Jerry Brown and his staff.

Looks like Jerry Brown himself called Meg Whitman a “whore”

Despite early reports that a Jerry Brown aide referred to Whitman as a "whore", it now looks like Jerry Brown is the one who said it. Check out this video from KCAL.

I listened to Eric Hogue this morning playing audio, and from the excerpt he played, it was pretty clear Brown made the "whore" slur.

I'll try to find better audio to post.

Caught on tape: Jerry Brown agrees with calling Meg Whitman a "whore"

Jerry Brown and an unnamed aide are heard calling Meg Whitman a "whore" on a taped answering machine message.

In a private conversation that was inadvertently taped by a voicemail machine, an associate of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown can be heard referring to his Republican opponent Meg Whitman as a “whore” for cutting a deal protecting law enforcement pensions as the two candidates competed for police endorsements.

The comment came after Brown called the Los Angeles Police Protective League in early September to ask for its endorsement. He left a voicemail message for Scott Rate, a union official. Brown apparently believed he had hung up the phone, but the connection remained intact and the voice mail machine captured an ensuing conversation between Brown and his aides.

The Whitman campaign better have an ad up and running tomorrow.  The media will let "Whore Gate" die as soon as Jerry says he apologized for the remark... it's up to Whitman to hit back.
