I have no idea why the Brown campaign would go out of its way to remind voters Jerry Brown was a politician back during the Nuclear Freeeze movement, the Rose Bird controversy, the Jim Jones mass suicide, and the Manson Family murders. FYI, via Google maps, below is the building where Jerry Brown lived in when he was governor way so long ago.
