The crowd seems enthusiastic. Young people often like weirdness. Witness the enthusiasm for Ron Paul, who is also an eccentric populist grandpa type.
A lot of the people in the crowd obviously like Moonbeam. But I'm guessing some others are vocal and cheering because they want/need Moonbeam to do well.
