Karl Rove on Jerry Brown's chances

Karl Rove -- who knows a thing or two about winning elections --  weighed in on Jerry Brown's electability yesterday:

Rove... warned that Republicans should not underestimate Democratic gubernatorial candidate, saying that "the thing that...makes him so unusual is that he has stayed so actively involved and reinvented himself."

But he argued that "I don't think he has the temper for the state of California today. This is going to require somebody to get in and make some very tough decisions that are going to keep the state from going over the cliff -- or not...and it strikes me that he's just too much of the last 40 years of political history to be a fresh new face."
